[原文] [Isaiah Garza]: Today I'm going to be interviewing some of the richest tech billionaires in America. I'm at one of the largest tech conferences in the world, and inside are AI founders, billionaire investors, and some of the most powerful people in Silicon Valley. These are the people building the future and getting rich doing it. So today, I'm going to cold approach them to find out what it actually takes to get rich. And later in this video, we're going to be heading to the house of a billionaire who sold a software company for $5 billion and bought an NBA team. So this video is about to be insane from start to finish.

Isaiah Garza]: With that being said, let's get this video on the way. Excuse me, sir. Sir, question for you, man. How old were you when you became a billionaire?

Amjad Masad]: This year.

Isaiah Garza]: This year?

Amjad Masad]: I was 38 years old.

Isaiah Garza]: Congratulations. Where are you from, man?

Amjad Masad]: I'm from Jordan originally.

Isaiah Garza]: And how did you become a billionaire, man? What type of company was it?

Amjad Masad]: You know, people here get rich by writing code. I got rich by making code optional.

Isaiah Garza]: Wow.

[译文] [Isaiah Garza]: 哇。

Amjad Masad]: So, if you have an idea, you go to Replit. You can build an app by just putting in a prompt.

Isaiah Garza]: You became an AI billionaire.

[原文] [Isaiah Garza]: Congratulations, man. Seriously, how can somebody use AI to become wealthy in today's world? Everybody talks about AI this, artificial intelligence that. How can somebody actually leverage AI to become wealthy in today's world?

The difference between people who get rich and people who don't, it's not about smartness. It's people who ship, people who do things. The internet and AI is the biggest wealth creation engine. There's going to be more millionaires and billionaires created in the next 5 years than ever in the history of humanity. And the difference is getting started, putting something out there. Yeah.

Isaiah Garza]: So do you think that what holds people back is they just don't even get started? They procrastinate.

[原文] [Amjad Masad]: They think, "Oh, it requires some technical knowledge. It requires some schooling or whatever." No. Just go to a site like Replit, put in your idea, see what comes out, iterate from there, and then go sell. Go market. Go put your ideas out there.

Isaiah Garza]: One of my favorite things is sell it first and then figure it out. You need customers, you need revenue.

Amjad Masad]: Right. Exactly.

Isaiah Garza]: Growing up, did you come from a lot of money?

[原文] [Amjad Masad]: I did not. My father's a refugee, actually. And the cool thing about it is he bought us a computer when very young. And I learned how to code and I started building businesses. The difference is I had good ideas. It wasn't just that I learned to code. So it became my life mission: how to make it so that anyone with a good idea can become wealthy.

Isaiah Garza]: And did you have any idea growing up that you were going to become a billionaire? Is that ever a goal?

Isaiah Garza]: You did. Why? What was your self-talk when you were a young kid in Jordan, man?

[原文] [Amjad Masad]: I always felt like you should think big. I always believed in visualization. Have incredible patience. Our business took 8 years to take off. Most people quit in a year. We got offered to get acquired for a billion dollars in 2019. I said no because I want to build a trillion-dollar company. Right? So always thinking big, and paradoxically have incredible patience to be able to do it in 10, 20 years, but move incredibly fast in the short term.

[原文] [Isaiah Garza]: But how did you prioritize long-term thinking over short-term profits? You said no to a billion dollars, man. That's remarkable. People never do that. How did you prioritize the long-term thinking when you had the opportunity to build, you know, forever wealth?

[原文] [Amjad Masad]: I think it's mindset. It's like, is Zuckerberg that much better than me? Is Elon that much better than me? Why are they better than me? They're not. And if you just have that self-belief, that self-talk, I think you're going to be able to achieve amazing things.

Isaiah Garza]: In the next 1 to 2 years, what is the best industry people should be looking to get into right now?

Amjad Masad]: I think AI is...

Isaiah Garza]: Be specific. What part of AI in the next years?

[原文] [Amjad Masad]: I think it's important not to be specific, because you can apply AI to any industry. So, if you're a doctor, look around you. Why is AI not being applied to healthcare? If you are a driver, why isn't AI being applied to trucking? Literally pick any industry, any vertical that you have experience in, and go figure how to apply AI into it.

Isaiah Garza]: So you don't like the idea of going after a small niche. You like a big market is what you're saying.

[原文] [Amjad Masad]: Well, it can be a small niche, but figuring out how AI can transform your industry. Anyone has experience in life that is differentiated, right? I can be a nurse. I can be someone who's into sports. Whatever it is, something you're obsessed about, now find the intersection with AI. Figure out how to transform that industry and you're going to make a billion dollars.

[原文] [Isaiah Garza]: 38 years old today. If me and you died tomorrow and you had one more message to leave with the younger generation, what would that be? Give me these next 30 seconds. How can somebody become a billionaire in today's world?

Amjad Masad]: Don't sit on your ideas. Go build them. Don't just wait and overthink. Go do things. I mean, today's world with AI, it benefits the doers more than the thinkers.

Isaiah Garza]: You have incredible advice, my friend. Thank you so much for your time, and appreciate it. Now that's the 53rd billionaire I've interviewed.

Amjad Masad]: I love your channel. It's very inspiring.

Isaiah Garza]: Did you like the questions?

Amjad Masad]: I love the questions.

Isaiah Garza]: Can I get your contact? Is that cool?

Amjad Masad]: Sure.

Isaiah Garza]: Is that cool? What's your name, for the people that...

Amjad Masad]: I'm Jud. I'm Judas.

[原文] [Isaiah Garza]: So guys, I cold approached the AI billionaire. It was coming out right after speaking, and he knew the channel, man. He's seen the billionaire interviews. Well, now he just became one of them, because that's officially the 53rd billionaire that I've interviewed on the School of Hard Knocks. But look, my biggest takeaway in that interview was when I asked him what is the specific part of AI people need to be leveraging in today's world. He said don't think about specific; AI as a whole can disrupt any industry you think about. Take notes from that interview right there. But we got to keep this one rolling and go find, cold approach our next billionaire out here. You guys, come on. Excuse me, sir. Sir, sir, question for you real quick. Fall back real quick, sir. Real quick. How did you get rich? I have a channel with 22 million

Isaiah Garza]: followers. I interview billionaires on how they made it. Oh, how did you get rich?

Justin Kan]: Oh, have you heard of Twitch?

Isaiah Garza]: Twitch.

[译文] [Isaiah Garza]: Twitch。

Justin Kan]: I'm a co-founder of Twitch.

Isaiah Garza]: No, you're not. Are you serious?

Justin Kan]: Yeah. Yeah.

Isaiah Garza]: Are you actually?

Isaiah Garza]: God smiled on me.

Justin Kan]: Yeah.

Isaiah Garza]: So, how long were you running Twitch for? And how long have you been a business owner?

Justin Kan]: I started my first company when I was 20 years old. So, that was 22 years ago. I guess I'm old now.

Justin Kan]: 40... 42 years old today.

Isaiah Garza]: Yeah.

[译文] [Isaiah Garza]: 嗯。

Isaiah Garza]: Yeah. Over these 42 years, what was the most amount of money you made in a single year?

Justin Kan]: We sold Twitch in 2014 for $970 million.

Isaiah Garza]: Almost a billion dollars. Can I leave you for a minute real quick?
